Levigate Alloys was founded in 2021 with an objective to manufacture and supply a broad spectrum of metal powders, value-added products and high precision components. The powders are designed to deliver best results to our customers whichever application technique they may choose such as Thermal spray coating, High temperature brazing, Additive Manufacturing (AM), Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) and Metal Injection Moulding (MIM).
We have atomizing capacity of over 1,250 metric tons per year with water, gas and hybrid atomizing technologies. Our manufacturing plant is a 12,000 sq.ft. modern factory and boasts state-of-the-art atomizing and laboratory facilities. Levigate powder products feature consistent spherical shape, satellite free particles, low oxygen content, uniform powder flow characteristics, precise particle size distribution and consistency between batches. Our powders offer higher deposition rates, lower porosity and uniform bonding.
We are located in Coimbatore, the industrial hub in Tamilnadu, India with a rich eco system for manufacturing high tech castings and precision components. The region is well connected by National highways, Ports and Airports. Our production unit ensures adherence of chemical and physical properties to product specifications.

Dr. Arulkumar is the Managing Director and Technology Head at Levigate Alloys. An influential entrepreneur transitioning conceptual ideas into successful business ventures. He comes with a strong academic and industrial background in Powder Metallurgy. He has more than 14 years of experience in Metal Powder manufacturing including Alloy development, Product development, Atomization, and Characterization. He holds a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University, a Master of Science from University Aachen (RWTH), and followed by a Ph.D. in Powder Metallurgy from CEIT (Powder Metal Research Institute, Spain).
He served as a Technical Innovation & Business Development Manager in various organizations such as ICER RAIL - Spain, Heraeus Materials – Singapore, LSN Diffusion – the UK and Wall Colmonoy Ltd – the UK, where he worked on advanced materials and products for Thermal Spray and Additive Manufacturing. He has closely worked with many well-recognized Powder Metallurgy specialists like Prof. Dr. ing. Paul Beiss, and Prof Francisco 'Paco' Castro.
Dr. Arulkumar has developed and implemented advanced Fe based alloys for Powder Metallurgy components and has developed alloys for High Wear Resistance applications. Until now Dr. Arulkumar has published over 10 papers in conference proceedings and obtained 2 patents. He also brings strong project management experience in executing industrial-scale projects.
Dr. Arulkumar is a well-acknowledged consultant and start-up specialist on AM, PM technologies, and Advanced Materials across the globe. He also brings diverse experience in Thermal Spray Powders, Brazing Alloys, Cobalt-Chromium Alloys, Hard Metals, Cutting Tools, Metal Powders, Industrial Equipment, Powder Metallurgy components, and Machine Tools.
Dr. Mohan is the Director of Operations and Technical Head at Levigate Alloys, where he is responsible for product design and production.
He holds a Master’s in Advanced Manufacturing from Sastra University, and a Doctorate from the University of Navarra, Spain. Dr. Mohan is a specialist in Powder Metallurgy, especially the metal powder atomization process which is the core competency of Levigate’s business. Dr.Mohan served in interim roles during his academic career. He was an advisory board member for the Neohire Europe Union project in metal atomisation and powder processing. He was appointed as a Tribunal member for Ph.D. thesis on gas atomisation at CEIT (www.ceit.es).
Post his Doctorate, Dr. Mohan worked for renowned powder manufacturing companies in the United Kingdom, LSN diffusion and Wall Colmonoy, where he mastered metal powder manufacturing for Thermal Spray and Brazing Alloys. These powders find applications in various high-tech industries like Automotive, Aerospace, Waste to Energy, Dental, and Oil & Gas.
Dr. Mohan has gained over a decade of end-to-end operational experience including Raw Material Selection, Metal Powder Atomization, Metal Powder Screening, and Product Shipment. He has an excellent track record of developing innovative and custom solutions to solve customer problems and meet market needs.
Prior to the above roles, he worked for over 3 years in a sand casting foundry, dealing with various alloy grades including but not limited to Grey Cast Iron, SG Iron, and Ni-Hard alloys. Interestingly, he has also gained 2 years of welding research experience in TIG and MIG.
Dr. Geethalakshmi, Director of Quality at Levigate, is responsible for the quality assurance and certification of products against standards and specifications. Geetha holds a Doctoral degree from Max Plank Institute in Germany, which is one of the prestigious research institutes in the world for Theoretical Chemistry. In her academic profession, she worked for over 15 years at various Universities and Research Centers in Germany, Spain, and Singapore. She has authored over 25 publications in high-impact-factor journals.
Post her academic career, Dr. Geethalakshmi garnered industrial experience working on Metal Powder Manufacturing and Metal Powder Characterization for around 5 years. She developed a strong network with professionals who are in the Metal Powder business in India and European countries.
Mr. Sakthi Mahesh is the Commercial Director at Levigate Alloys, where he is responsible for sales and executive-level client engagement.
He holds a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Bharathiar University. He has more than 20 years of professional experience in Product Design and Development, with over 6 years of experience in Operations Management and People Leadership. Prior to joining Levigate, Mr. Sakthi was associated with leading Semiconductor Capital Equipment manufacturing companies, where he led R&D teams and was responsible for strategic engagement with different functions across the globe.
Mr. Sakthi is an astute Mechanical Engineer with expertise in the conceptualization, development, and validation of innovative mechanical designs. He is competent at solving complex engineering problems and a successful Leader who manages and motivates the team to achieve outstanding results in a highly challenging environment.
Mr. Mohankumar is the Director of Finance at Levigate Alloys. He is responsible for all financial activities which support the execution of Levigate’s business strategy.
Mr. Mohankumar has a broad base of financial leadership experience at Unicorn technologies and Mech Tech Flow Control Engineering, where he serves as a Managing Partner. He is also a member of the Board of Directors at Fabrex Digitec, a leading sheet metal fabricator in Coimbatore.
He holds a Bachelor’s in Electrical engineering and a Master of Business Administration.
Mr. Palaniswamy is the Director of Health & Safety at Levigate Alloys. He started his career in Singapore, where he served in various roles including CNC programmer and Production Engineer. He possesses strong experience in Precision Machining Technologies.
He is a Managing Partner at Unicorn Technologies, one of the finest machine shops for Valve bodies in Coimbatore and a member of the Board of Directors at Fabrex Digitec, a leading sheet metal fabricator in Coimbatore. Mr. Palaniswamy has held various positions in the aforementioned firms, managing the Health and Safety of personnel and equipment.
